Temple of Obama

When Sen. Barack Obama moves the convention from the Pepsi Center to Invesco Field on Thursday, the Illinois Democrat is reportedly planning to speak from a columned stage resembling an ancient Greek temple.

The Reuters report, which detailed an elaborate rock concert set-up for Obama’s speech complete with post-speech fireworks, was sure to earn GOP knocks from Republicans looking to fold the trappings of Obama’s rhetoric into it’s anti-Obama celebrity narrative.

But one McCain adviser took the lead, reacting to the Democrat’s plans with a not-so-veiled swipe, “Is this from the Onion?” …
