Washington Times Blogger Amanda Carpenter to Moderate Discussion at DTD Exchange ‘09

The Republican Party of Florida today announced that Washington Times reporter and blogger Amanda Carpenter will moderate the “Young Voters: New Voice of the GOP” panel discussion at the RPOF’s Drive the Discussion Exchange ’09 youth event on August 22, at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, FL.

Amanda Carpenter is a reporter and blogger for the Washington Times. She was formerly a national political reporter for Townhall.com, the leading online publication for news, opinion, and talk. Prior to her stint at Townhall, she was a reporter for Human Events. Carpenter has made numerous media appearances that include segments on the Fox News, CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, and other outlets. She is a speaker for the Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute and wrote for Glamour magazine's 2008 presidential politics blog, Glamocracy. In 2006 she published The Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy's Dossier on Hillary Clinton for Regnery Publishing. She was honored with the Campus Leadership Program's Investigative Journalism Award in spring 2005 and interned with the Leadership Institute, teaching college students how to start their own conservative publications that summer.
